COMMENTS:

Marriage and Motherhood are the most gratifying of my careers, however I had three different nursing related careers. (The most rewarding patients I had the privilege to care for were my mother, my sister, Judy and Mr. McWhorter, (my first case study, he was 89 years old ). First I was a hands on nurse, mostly in the operating room. Next I studied at the Centers for Disease Control & became an Infection Control Practitioner. I then spent 15 years as a Nurse Legal Consultant. Now I get to hang around with Brian full time, spending a couple months, during winter, in the Florida Keys. I love art and hand crafted items. Being Grandmother “MeeMee“, creating & selling pottery, photography, the computer, being active in guilds, reading, biking and gardening keep me busier and more content than my jobs did although I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges of all.

Memories: 1.)Mr. Timothy Lynott had the most influence on me as a teacher. 2.)The day Julius instructed me to look up the definition of “derisive” and then sent me to the office. 3.) Explaining to Mr. Pifer why I was always dusting the top of the lockers next to the boys locker room after the bell rang for class (Those upper and lower classman! ) 4.)Then there was driving around after senior Prom & bowling and being enticed to investigate what we thought was a clandestine meeting of the Klu Klux Kan or Nazis, but finding a Field Beer Party instead. (We joined the party!).
